Our Policies
Refund and Cancellation Policy:
There is no refund offered on materials ordered, installed, or replaced, or for deposits provided on work orders/invoices. All work performed by Scott‘s Lawn Service LLC is warranted for up to one year. If a Invoice was agreed upon either verbally, electronically (email, text message, phone call, accepted estimate through Square, QuickBooks, Wave), and you do not wish to proceed with the services listed on the invoice or estimate, you, the Client, may cancel the transaction prior to midnight three days (72 hours) after agreeing to the invoice for the work. Once work begins, any payments that have been made will not be refunded if cancelled prior to the planned project completion date. You may contact us at 443-987-5489 or billing@scottslandscaping-md.com for a notice of cancellation form, or for further explanation of this right.
Agreements and Electronic Signature:
Once an invoice or estimate is accepted, either by verbal confirmation, text message, telephone call, email, or messages of any sort, you are agreeing to the amount that is listed and is considered a legal binding service/payment contract between Scott’s Lawn Service LLC and you, the Client. The agreement is NOT to be modified unless discussed with you, the Client, no more than seventy-two (72) hours prior to the start of the project. Any deposit made towards an invoice, acts as an electronic signature for agreement/ acceptance and solidifies the invoice as a legal and binding contract.
Payment/Deposit:
Payments are immediately due upon receipt of the invoice unless otherwise stated in the invoice. You, the Client, has up to 10 days to remit payment in full.
In the event the payment becomes delinquent past the 10-day grace period we are authorized to seize further services until payment is made as well as add 20% of the invoice amount for every 30 days the payment remains delinquent. After 90 days the invoice and full amount will be sent to collections and may be subject to legal actions.
For larger projects/ invoices/contracts a deposit of at least 1/3rd of the invoice total is required.
When a deposit payment is remitted, the deposit serves as a legal electronic signature and agreement to accept the invoice and fulfil the amount listed. Once a deposit is made towards the invoice, the project will begin. The remaining balance of the invoice can be made into Milestone payments.
Milestone payments will be broken down into the most convenient form for both Scott’s Lawn Service and you, the Client. A set amount of work will be completed
within each milestone and once the milestone payment is made. This policy is set on place to avoid providing services and no receiving payment from you, the Client.
Work Warranties:
Contractor guarantees that the work completed will be free from faulty materials or workmanship and will comply with all applicable laws, including but not limited to the Americans with Disabilities Act. Upon receiving notification from Client, Contractor agrees to remedy, repair, or replace, immediately, without cost to Client and to Client’s satisfaction, all defects, damages, or imperfections appearing in the Work (including labor and materials) within a period of one (1) month after the date of final completion and acceptance by the applicable governmental agency and Client of the Work. After the one (1) month period, the client has eleven (11) months to contact the Contractor if the project breaks or deteriorates and is not caused at owners’ fault.
Contractor will continuously clean the jobsite and grounds around the jobsite, and keep it in a safe, orderly, and neat condition. At the completion of the Work, the entire jobsite will be left in a broom-clean condition.
The Contractor has made a full investigation of the job site, reviewed the Contract Documents, and investigated all other conditions that might affect the progress of the work and is satisfied as to those conditions
Orders / Online Payment / Registration:
We request information from you on our order form. To remit payment of an invoice for a service, you must provide contact information (like name and address, email address for electronic receipt) and financial information (like credit card number, expiration date). This information is used for billing purposes and to fill your orders. If we have trouble processing an order, we’ll use this information to contact you.
In some instances, for bill payment, a user must first complete the registration form to use this site. During registration a user is required to give certain information (such as name and email address). This information is used to contact you about the products/services on our site in which you have expressed interest. We will NOT/NOT share any information provided with any external parties.

1. What personally identifiable information is collected from you through the web site, how it is used and with whom it may be shared.

We are the sole owners of the information collected on this site. We only have access to/collect information that you voluntarily give us via email or other direct contact from you. We will not sell, share, or rent this information to anyone.
